Download, install, and update

Download the client

1. Return to the Xiaoya Claw website.
2. Select Download and use the latest stable version offered by the site.
3. Wait for the download to finish before opening the installer.

Only use the official website download. Do not install packages from unknown chat groups, file shares, or email attachments.

Install on Windows

1. Open the installer and follow the operating-system prompts.
2. If Windows asks for permission, verify the application name and file source.
3. Launch Xiaoya Claw. Reaching the sign-in page confirms that installation completed.

Fully extract the portable edition before launching it. Do not run it directly inside the archive.

First use

After signing in, choose an AI employee and create a conversation. When the task needs local files, select a dedicated workspace. Signing in does not automatically grant access to every file on the computer.

Update the client

The client checks for updates in the background. A verified update waits until you exit normally, so it does not interrupt an active task. If permission is denied or verification fails, the current version remains available and you can retry after the next launch.

Before updating

Save files edited in other applications and let important tasks finish. Do not power off the computer or remove an active USB drive while program files are being replaced.
